could you please be more verbose and tell us what you mean with "does not work"? And please provide more information about which distribution you are using, how you installed recordMyDesktop.
and i ran it with recordmydesktop --use-jack system:capture_1 and the output was

and i am not sure on how to make sure the jack server is running.
