After installing PF_RING I have to recompile the Ethernet driver (pcnet32 in my case because i'm using vmware) and I don't know hot to recompile it?

Also there are other files I have to recompile like the NetworkManager but i'm not really sure what are these files and how to recompile them ?

PF_RING requires PF_RING-aware ethernet drivers. Patches for supported cards are in PF_RING/drivers/PF_RING_aware/. After doing 'svn co https://svn.ntop.org/svn/ntop/trunk/PF_RING/ PF_RING' I don't see any for pcnet32. IMO requests for more PF_RING-aware ethernet drivers are best made on the ntop mailing list.

you are right, I didn't see any for pcenet32 too. Maybe because i'm using vmware!.
I'll try to do more researches about that or stop using VM.

Thanks a lot for trying.

...or have an ethernet card that uses the e1000 chipset?
