Yes, precisely. I am taking a remote college class that uses media player video, and I am trying to learn how to use linux whenever possible to do what I do with computers.
you need to be more specific... what *KIND* of video do you want to see? there are many different types of video streaming formats. mplayer can read a number of streams like mpg and so forth, not asf tho.
