Recent File History: how do you erase it?

I have a very simple question that I cannot seem to find an answer to. How do you clear the recent file history of KDE apps like Kate and Kfind? Since Linux doesn't have a registry, it has to be stored in a file somewhere, but I cannot for the life of me figure out which one.

Thanks.

Look under your user home folder for the .kde folder.

You will have to select 'show hidden files' in VIEW menu of konqueror.

under .kde/share/ and look for the rc file of the app you want to look at

katerc has the recent files, kfindrc the recent searches etc.

Thanks for your quick reply. Turns out it was the share/config dir, not the share/apps dir I had to look in. *feels fairly stupid now*
