Rear speaker is not working in linux


Hi all,
I installed ubuntu 64bit version(9.04) linux,i am using 4.1 speaker system, No sound in my rear speaker, could any one help me in solving this issue

sivakumar@sivakumar-desktop:~$ aplay -L 2>&1 | egrep surround
surround40:CARD=Intel,DEV=0
surround41:CARD=Intel,DEV=0
surround50:CARD=Intel,DEV=0
surround51:CARD=Intel,DEV=0
surround71:CARD=Intel,DEV=0

Have you double checked your mixer settings ? It might just be muted or so.
