RealTime Linux with an inappropriate kernel
Hello all,
my problems lay in rtai-linux systems, and I hope that somebody can help me.
I have Linux-Suse 6.4 installed on one PC and worked well with rtai-1.3 kernel, which is adapted to work with linux-kernel-2.2.14.
And on another PC I installed also Suse-10.3, which works properly with rtai-3.3, which is also adapted to work with linux-kernel-2.6.15.
And on each real-time-system I have some written programs that work well.
Now I want to benefit from the worked programs on the first system with rtai-1.3 in the second PC with rtai-3.3.
To do that, I had to make so many changes in Make-file and the other files to work correctly on other rtai version.
Questions:
1- can I in a way install rtai-1.3 on Suse-10.3 "for example".
-- I tried to do that, by installing new kernel-2.2.14 on Suse-10.3 and then I installed rtai-1.3 on it, but it did not work.
2- What the best way to benefit from all written programs on system by the other and with fewer changes.
