hello
i'm using fedora 11 and i have problem with real player 11
when pidgin play sounds.like when bodies login or logout
real player crash i don't know why!
and sometimes when i play something with realplayer pidgin sounds
don't work.until i close real player
and btw..when i play videos on youtube.com
it showes without sound when real player open.
can anybody show me what's wrong and how to fix this?

Which distribution?
Do you use ALSA, ESD, OSS..
Seems to me when realplayer is open, the soundcard is blocked.
Try to use the alsa for realplayer and the other progs

i'm using fedora core 11
i was using alas for real player
and running the command aplay -q %s for pidgin
the method in real player are:
ALSA - can work but cause the realplayer crash
OSS - when i select it it shows me this error "Cannot open the audio device. Another application may be using it."
and in pidgin
console beep - i think you know that noisy sound
Automatic - cause real player crash
ALSA - just like the automatic
ESD - don't work
command - i used the command : aplay -q %s and its work but also cause the crash
