really weird installing

cutting threw the garbage

i have xp and downloaded the 3 images of mandrake 9.1

i burn them

and with partion magic 8 made a new drive for linux and restart

parntion magic did its work......

it restarted and i put the 1st mandrake cd in

it came up blank as if to say there was no cd in the drive, so i was like ok hhmm maby i need a boot disc, i took the cd out put it in my laptop and made a boot disc, i restarted the pc with both in it and the boot disc worked, i pressed F1 to install mandrake, it loaded then came up which cd rom drive do you wise use. so i selected the dvd rom cos its a hole lot faster on normal cds..... and it came up the cd in this drive is not the mandrake 9.1 cd (or something similar) so i was like hmm thats weird, so i tried the 2nd cd of mandrake 9.1 because i know you can also install from that. but to my surprise i got the same error again. so i put the first one in my laptop just to double check that it works and woalla it does.

does anyone have any helpful hints? because i need them! thanks guys

In your Bios it sounds like the first device on your boot sequence is A: floppy. It should be your cdrom. Then Mandrake will boot correctly.
