Loading Kernel /fs/reiserfs/reiserfs.o
Kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k block-major-9, errno=2
VFS: Cannot open root device "" or 08:05
pleace append a correct "root=" boot option
Try booting with pci=noacpi, acpi=ht, or acpi=off on the command line.
If one helps, please report the following lines:
DMI: BIOS: Phoenix Technologies LTD, 6.00, 08/29.2001
DMI: System: Intel coproration, witney system CR Board Revision A0
DMI: Board: Intel Corporation, Whitney System CR Platform, None
Kernel Panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 08:05
i tried pci=noacpi, acpi=ht, and acpi=off
is pci=noacpi supposed to be acpi=noacpi maybe?
I also tried root=/dev/hda4/ which is where i have SuSe installed.
This system boots XP and Red Hat 9 fine.
