Real Time Clock & Real Time Timer
Hi
I hope this is the right forum for me to post in. I'm confused. What's the difference between RTC (Real Time Clock) and RTT (Real Time Timer). And how can I enable access to the hardware clock (#hwclock returns the message that the hardware clock is not accessible) via a RTT ?. Any suggestions to as how I can use an existing RTC driver to write up a RTT driver for that purpose ? (I'm using the AT91SAM9261)..The RTT in question is hardwired to a crystal oscillator. The AT91SAM9261 doesn't have a RTC, only a RTT. I'm a kernel newbie and hope I can learn a lot and give back to the community. Appreciate your guidance. Jiramak |
And, this is a RTC driver for the AT91SAM9200, how do we make this into a RTC driver ?
