Still problem...

I've already tried RealOne for linux but I've always the same problem: segmentation fault.
So i've also attempted to use Real Player 8 (mozilla plugins) but... nothing happens and i still can't listen any non-mp3 stream...
Am I unlucky?

if realone segfaults, just use mplayer to driectly use the realplayer binaries, it's a much much better player

.... hard life...

My situation is the following:
I've installed both Real Player and MPlayer but:

1) Real Player (and also RealOne if you want) doesn't work 'cause of the problem I posted before;

2) MPlayer works for avi file and similar but i don't know how to play real stream (video and audio)!
How can I use the Real codecs and plugins in MPlayer without reinstalling the program?

3) I've found in www.tucows.com a version of Real Player 8 which doesn't cause segmentation fault but.... I can't play audio because it says: "Cannot open audio device. Another application may be using it"

If someone find a solution for these problems... please, tell me!!!
Thank you!

I acid_kewpie, someone told me you were the video expert, I have a question if U could help me please ...

Ok, I installed the mplayer, and tried to see a normal .avi file. I had an error of "video_out(-vo)". So I did preferences->video and choose the driver X11. Every video now plays fine, but this is the only drive (among the listed in preferences->video) that I can use, so I want to see a normal divx movie with subtitles in a fullscreen mode, but so that the video is also resized to a fullscreen like a regular dvd file (like WindowsMediaPlayer and MicroDVD, BSPlayer, etc.).

Someone told me to use the video driver XV, but like I told before, I get the "video_out (-vo)" error, for any video driver I choose different of the x11?

Do U know how can I use the video normally in fullscreen in this case, with mplayer?

Thanx a lot!

Cave!
