accesing imap using php


I have configured an email server with my own interface using php scripting language. I am having problems while accessing mailbox through imap_open function in php. error message shows"cannot open stream.I am using RedHat 9.Is there any configuration to be made for imap or php to access mail from imap_open function in php.

reading mails using php

Can anyone advice how to read mails using php and the necessary configuration for RedHat 9 using imap.

Are you looking for something like AeroMail, OpenWebMail, IMP Webmail or do you want to write your own PHP webclient?

Two threads have been merged.

No extra tuning should be needed when the services are installed. How does your line when you run imap_open look like? Please look here: http://pl2.php.net/manual/en/function.imap-open.php for examples.
