read-only across network problem
When I edit any text document that sits on a server (wiondows or solaris)in gedit and try to save it
Could not save the file /mnt/casi/Casi/test.txt. appears. Strange thing is I can delete the file and I can rename it from the linux machine. It is not checked as read-only in the permissions dialogue. Is this strange or what? I am running Fedora Core9. Anybody got any ideas? Cheers S |
Interestingly I can edit and save files normally in open office writer. The problem seems to be gedit specific.
