hey.. re this subject.. that has been bothering me latley.. i'd like to forward this post which is an email to me from ATI about thier support for the 320m graphics card which is on a great many laptops, and isn't currently supported by linux...

I havent got time at the moment to find out what this means so do, by all means try and work it out ;)

ATI does not provide Linux drivers for IGP (so far, working on it).

The Open source 3D Accel driver is based on the Direct Rendering Infrastructure project (DRI) :
