My partnet and myself are working on a project for a class in college. We are making a MySQL DB that will take info from an HTML form using a python script.
The question I have is with DocumentRoot. We had it a few weeks ago, but our progress recording paper was lost. We cannot figure out where DocumentRoot is, or which file to edit to change the apache placeholder page! (Default Apache page). We are using RedHat Linux 9 (I hate RH with a passion, I am used to Slackware...I love slackware!) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just so you know, my instructor encouraged me to seek outside help for this problem. Thanks in advance!
I found httpd.conf, but was not sure what to do with it. It was entirely blank. I tried putting some html in there, it didnt change a thing. Do i need to put file name (ie, index.html) in there or something? Thanks,
Ahhhhhhh, ok. I do remember seeing a httpd.conf.bak. I will emacs it tomorrow. Thanks alot for all the help.
Linux and Open Source is the future for all software. All software is, is a bunch of 1's and 0's. Why charge so much money for numbers? It is insanity.
