Re-installing software after apt-get install failure

Hi.

I'm trying to set up Linux on an old Thinkpad 600E and have had success getting Debian Netinstall to load up, however when I tried to install (apt-get install) x-window-system-core the install downloaded the appropriate files but then crashed before loading X Windows. This may have been because I made inappropriate selections around keyboard, mouse etc. and I'd like to try again. However I can't figure out how to re-initialise the install.

How do I try again at a reinstall after apt-get has got the files?

just do
Code:
apt-get install x-window-system-core
again, and it should pick up where it left off. it even resumes failed downloads. fantastic piece of software, apt.
