Thumbs up Re: installing more than one kernel

Hi All,
I have a question. I have not made any partition. So i have only one drive which has fedora, i mean only one kernel. I want to install one more kernel too along with the existing one. Is it possible to make a partition now and so i can install the new kernel in different partition. Help.

You can run multiple kernels with any standard Fedora install (one at a time of course). When you first boot you get a splash screen, just hit a key and you can select from the installed kernels.

You do not need to make any additional partitions to install additional kernels. The additional kernels will be installed right next to the one you are using right now. In current RH based systems (including Fedora) you install kernels with yum install kernelname. You can choose which kernel to boot to by the method I described in post #2.
