Raw data telnet

Hello everyone. I am new to this forum, to Linux and to all the TCP/IP stuff.
If anyone knows of a software for a "raw data telnet". Some program I can use to connect to another device by entering IP address and port number, but then anything I type is sent out in raw data mode(no added bytes). More like an Xterm but with ability to connect over Ethernet.
I hope that makes sense.

This is exactly what Netcat does.
