raid on lvm ?

Hi all,

On fresh installation of rhel5 lvm created and i spared some space on it.
in /dev/Volgroup00 around 500MB is there, i want to play raid on it.
vgdisplay showing approx 500mb free.so i created logical volume log1,log2 by using lvcreate and raid0(log1,log2) with mdadm. After creating filesystem(ext3), mounted on /data directory, every thing is perfect.ok. but rebooting the system, after mentioning it in fstab, showing error, filesystem error and no active devices in /proc/mdstat , it is stopped working.
how do i overcome this ?

thank in advance.

Are you asking how to create a RAID array using different partitions on the same drive?
