R/W from nand flash

Hi,

I need to read the entire contents of the NAND flash memory (including OOB) in system A and write it to a file in USB.

And then, I need to read the copied file from USB and transfer the entire NAND contents into another system B.

Is this feasible? as I want to read OOB data as well and transfer it to another NAND flash. Will there be any issue, if system B NAND contains Bad block?

Thanks in Advance

Depends on how you dump the NAND I guess, if you get a clean dump you shouldn't have any problems. What are you flashing NANDs for if I might ask?

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.

I need to dump the entire root file system from flash and then need to analyse the contents, if there is a sudden crash in my embedded platform.

you'll probably need to build a nand flasher and get the appropriate software =S
