Quick Simple Question

Hey guys! I am happy to say that ive switched from windows to linux. I just wanted to know something. I thought about switching from windows to linux for awhile, and now i decided to. I decided to get gentoo (after reading a few reviews) and I am currently running Gentoo 2004.0 with kernel-2.4.24. I so far havent come across any problems that i couldnt fix with some help. Was it a right choice for me to pick gentoo as my first distro for linux? Thanks in advance

A brave choice. But if you can install Gentoo the linux world is your oyster

i went for rh9, it was easy to install and much as i hate windows, i know it, and gnome looks and feels just like it
