Smile Question involving fdisk / partitioning RHEL 6

OK Im pretty new to Linux and learning so much, but with RHEL6,

When your taking a test and they say to make a partition this size/name it this, how do you know which disk to partition if you do a listing?

I get so confused with the fdisk stuff and I would really love it if someone is kind enough to help me out.

If you are using RHEL6 which you have paid why not use their support.

A simple setup.

/boot 2GB
/usr 20GB
/home as your liking.

Most distros have a manual on howto setup partitions.

We're not a paid information service: just volunteers who offer help as a way to give something back to the world of Linux. We do expect you to read the man pages, read your distro's documentation, and search for answers on-line. Being sarcastic will not encourage us to do more.

You speak of "taking a test", which implies some sort of formal learning. The best way to learn is to try. If you were learning maths, you wouldn't say to your teacher "this problem looks hard — what's the answer?"
