Question about permissions on a directory in Bash 4.3.11

Hello Guys,

When i run the following command:

Code:
ls -ali /media
i get the following output:

Code:
total 32
26083329 drwxr-xr-x 8 root root 4096 Apr 25 20:10 .
       2 drwxr-xr-x 25 root root 4096 Apr 20 14:18 ..
26345473 drwxr-x---+ 7 root root 4096 Apr 26 21:34 martin
26083335 drwx------ 2 root root 4096 Apr 20 11:17 MOVIE BACKUP - BOTTOM HDD
26083333 drwx------ 2 root root 4096 Apr 20 11:17 MOVIE HDD - TOP HDD
26083330 drwx------ 2 root root 4096 Apr 20 11:17 PACKARDBELL
26083334 drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Mar 28 13:56 SyncHdd
26083331 drwx------ 2 root root 4096 Apr 20 11:17 TV SERIES HDD
Notice on the directory "martin" there is a "+" after the file permissions. I have been searching for a definition on that, but i have found nothing. It also seems that it is not related to the stickybit, as that is indicated differently. The man pages for chown and chmod does not seem to have any information either.

Is there any one that knows what this is?

I did a quick google ("Linux permissions plus") and found this amongst others.

Also, permissions are related to the file system and aren't specific to the shell you're using.

It means that directory has extended permissions, namely Access Control List. You can retrieve ACL permissions running getfacl and modify them with setfacl.
Code:
man acl
should give some details about ACL meaning and implementation.
