Question about Mandrake 9.2 login

this is probably a dumb question, but a couple of hours ago i installed mandrake 9.2. during install, i set up a root password and all that, but when the login screen comes up, all that shows is my personal account. how do i go about logging in as root (other than su from a terminal)?

thanks,
chris

Just type in the name root instead of your user name.

I do not recomend this. If you make one small miss click you have a very good chance of cr@pping something up.
The command line is really better for doing anything as root. Its faster, safer and for most jobs can be done in a terminal window while you are still logged in as root and doing other things.

Mandrake hides super user login by default, cause, as mentioned, it is dangerous (to yourself) to run your desktop as root. Change the settings in the login manager andro show 'root' at the login prompt.
