After installing ubuntu 8.10 on my ps3, I wondered if I could also install ubuntu on xbox 360. I know it is possble (see below)

but I was wondering if you can use both the xbox 360 os (such as being able to still play xbox 360 games and go on xbox live) and also use the ubuntu os, similar to ps3's setup. On the ps3, you can switch to the linux os and then when you're on the ubuntu os, you can go to the terminal and type "ps3-boot-game-os" to return to the ps3 os. My question is can you get that same kind of setup (switch between linux os and the game console's os)?

I wouldn't bet on being able to use the XBox as an XBox with Linux there. MS will just pack the system with "copy protection" junk and might refuse to work if things aren't as expected. There is also a danger that the 360 system makes certain assumptions about what's on disk and just writes where it pleases (overwriting Linux).

You may have better luck posting your question to that web page; maybe those guys know enough of the system to give you an answer.
