Query the .rpm files on the web?


Dear Friends,

I want to query first the rpm package on the web before I used wget? Is it possible?

I dont think thats possible.
But why do you want to do that?

I want to see the package content file before downloading it.

like rpm -qpl [pkgname] coz it is time consuming to download it then you found out that it is not the right package for you.

so better to query on the source host...before downloading it.

Why don't you try a service like rpmfind.net which gives the contents of rpms
