thanku for the help jst one more question i have jst come across an old copy of linux devil its like kno os i have seen it doesant make any sense i have a p4 pc 1gig ram and it wont run wot do i need in order to run

How old is the Linux distro that you are trying to load? A very old version won't necisarily work on a newer computer, none of the hardware on the computer would be supported with an ancient Linux kernel.

Hi and welcome to LQ. If you mean Devil-Linux, then it's almost certainly not what you want.

To maximize your chances of getting good help, here's a couple of pointers to how to ask good questions (the whole article is good):

Use meaningful, specific subject headers
Write in clear, grammatical, correctly-spelled language
