quake 3 with mandrake?

hi
is there any tut wich can help me to install q3 under mandrake linux 9.1? i dont know how to configure my graphic card and how to set up q3 to get as most fps as possible

Installing quake 3 is explained in the point release executable file that you can obtain from id software. Basically, you just run the file you've downloaded, and once installation is complete copy the pakX.pk3 files from your quake 3 cdrom.

If you're having trouble configuring your graphics hardware, I suggest that you post details of your troubles in the hardware forum.

what graphic card are you talking about? NVidia GeForce/TNT... ATi Radeon?
