Actually, I might be wrong - mine's called byacc-1.9.4 (for Berkeley yacc) - guess it would work. Or yours is just yacc, I guess. I never have much luck with the package manager - I popped in my disk and did 'find * | grep yacc'. Yours should definitely be a higher version number. *g*
They couldn't steal IE from Apple, because Netscape's not Apple. And, actually, they all stole it from Mosaic.
But, yeah, IE is a johnny-come-lately, it seems.
And Apple stole the GUI from Xerox who had it around 1969 but didn't know what to do with it - and a lot of people were coming out with GUIs around the same time as Apple. MS was behind the curve there, too.
I don't see faulting MS for stealing the stuff - in the GNU world, it's everybody 'stealing' from everybody.
The problem with MS is that they then go and restrict the thing they've stolen and break what they've stolen from.
