Qmail inbound timeouts Fedora core 4
Hi,
Not sure if this should be in server or networking, so I'm starting here. I have a dedicated fc4 box from GoDaddy. For the last month it has been bouncing AOL inbound emails, royally annoying the salespeople who use aol. On further investigation, it looks like a timeout proble. Depending on where I telnet from, I get from under 1 second to over 30 seconds before I get a 220 prompt from qmail. (using Telnet myserver.com 25) GoDaddy will do nothing as they no longer support fc4. I'm not really sure if this is a network problem or some bad filter in iptables, etc. Thanks in advance, Greg |
Fedora 4 is long dead Fedora 10 is due in a few weeks.
I would do a fresh install using CentOS 5.2( the free red hat 5.2) Just a guess but maybe aol is starting to use ip6 |
