qmail fetchmail problem?

Hi Gurus and Linux Gifted Ones

I have a on one of our servers, actually the problematic server has qmail and fetchmail services and serves as e-mail server for 8 pc's. The problem is the client pc's can send but the recipients cant recieve the message, even if they send e-mails on their seat mates on the office nothing happens on the e-mails, my guess is that the mails are stucked on the server or one of the service components is disable. By the way they can recieve e-mails from other server mails and from commercial mails like yahoo but when they reply its seems to be that the mails is useless because it does not go to the recipients.

please please please.... Thanks

Please give us some idea of how you have your mail processing configured, fetchmail configuration, etc.

It just may occure your email is stuck forever as undeliverable.
Is your qmail correctly configured w/r to the "local" domains?

You ought to have a text file named locals in your qmail/control directory, containing something on the lines of:

ourcompany.com
.ourcompany.com

Where the logfiles are, depends on how the qmail is started. Good first place to look is /var/log/maillog.

Nothing specifically wrong with mx.ourcompany.com, only that's a host name, and what you need to check first is what domains are put into the text file named "locals" residing in the "/var/qmail/control" directory.
