Putty not working in office.

Why putty is not working in my office? I am using xp in office and trying to connect fedora 11 at home. I am getting 'timed out' error. Is it bcoz of Windows firewall. How do I identify its bcoz of firewall? I dont know much about tunneling. Will be a solution? If so can anyone help??

Probably a firewall issue.
what is the output from
Code:
telnet <ip homeserver> 22
Is port 22 outbound open on the office?
Do you have a firewall on your home server?
Is sshd running on the home server?
Perhaps your ISP is blocking port 22 ?
