Putting Slackware install DVD onto pen drive

I have a no DVDs atm and a 8GB Pen drive. What I want to do is to copy the DVD to the pen drive to boot and install slackware back onto my machine. I've used unetbooting just selecting the image option but that fails. What would be the best way to do this? dd command?

Have a look at the following tutorial. The dd command you might be looking for is at the bottom.

yea thats using the usb image where I would install everything over the network. I would like to get the full install media (DVD) on the pendrive so I wouldn't have to download so much.

Have a look at this one:

A 4GB stick (or larger size) will contain the complete Slackware 13.0 tree
including all the sources.
Obviously Slackware version (13.0) doesn't matter here.

LOL thats quite a job to do just to get slackware to boot from cd but when I get some extra time and read through it and I'll tell you how it went. Unless I get dvds first. But I do believe thats what I'm looking for

Thanks again

yeah, I was looking for something like this as well but I unfortunately couldn't find anything as straightforward on pendrivelinux which is a shame. They're all for Ubuntu, Mint, Arch, et cetera.

I think you can use one of the pendrivelinux how-to's for the iso or grub4dos examples.

Also might do it over network. Get the usb install image and put it on the usb. Then set up some server to get data from. http://slackware.cs.utah.edu/pub/sla...README_USB.TXT
