Purchase laptop RHEL 5.1 compatible

I'm totally new to linux. Have RHEL 5.1 and want to install on a laptop without having a lot of troubleshooting. Suggestions? Preferably under $1,000, but definitely under $2,000?

Thx

DELL Hardware is OK with Linux. However, MAC hardware is much better as we all know. I am not a big fan of Cupertino machines but the hardware is great for Linux if you know how to get Linux to work on MAC H/W. It's not difficult, You just need to do the SEARCH :-)

if you want an overpriced, underpowered machine without the necessary ports from a company that is the very antithesis of f/oss movement, with a felonious CEO who backdates stock options to steal money from share holders, sure, macs are great.

Thanks for the info. Anybody using Thinkpads? They're on the HCL and less expensive.
