Puppy universal installer: SANITY CHECK -- partition cannot be unmounted!
I'm going to go ahead with the install. Is there any case in which I would need to mount a partition?
I'm using Puppy 4.2.1 |
?
are you using the installer? frugal install or full hd install?? you can do frugal by "hand" how many puppies you gonna put there? |
full install w/ one puppy
|
well
yeah, it should auto-mount it? is there anything in the partiion now? if not run with the installer what are you worried about? |
Yeah, never mind. I'm just going to wait until the RAM I ordered comes in the mail. Thanks tho!
|
RAM?
how much does it have?? |
64 MB
I might try barebones pup |
eeech
how much ram you gonna get? DSL hd install will run quick there:) |
Dad ordered it. Probably 128MB or more.
|
Hey, Linus72, would you recommend DSL or Barebones Pup for a newbie? Barebones is a 57 MB iso.
|
Bad thing about barebones is no browser etc
browserlinux (was browserpuppy) 64mb is best "light" puppy I've used pupflux-421 is nice too I got like 7 pups right now on my 2gb fat32 usb PupPack! uh...you already have browserpuppy don't you? bad thing about DSL is it's Dead and it's not made for hd install but runs better/faster that way Tinycore is the new DSL, same people tinycore needs 48mb to boot so, you could have a desktop, maybe dillo2 browser get more ram:) |
