puppy iso files.

Fairly new to puppy and am confused about wikka inside xp instructions on wikka page.
It says to download puppy 1.0.3 iso file and then burn a live CD or use WinISO to extract three files.
My question is, when you go to download latest version - the number is 1.08r1 - not 1.0.3 am I missing something?

sounds like outdated documentation to me.

Hi there.
My guess is that the wiki page has not been updated for a while.1.0.8r1 is the latest version of this OS with 1.09 alpha due out soon. Puppy has been releasing a new release on average about once every two or three months. I am using 1.0.8 myself now to make this post.
You may have noticed that I listed 1.0.8r1 with two dots and 1.09 with only one even though they follow directly one from the other. This was I believe done for two reasons,
1 For familiarity for windows refugees who are used to the one dot format
2 To mark the point when Puppy became a community built OS as opposed to a privately built OS.

I may be wrong about the change in numbering format but this is my understanding of it.
