puppy+grub saves ram installed mount point as HD install mount point


Have tried every grub setup method from live cd of puppy4.1 Can boot into puppy only if live cd is in laptop IBM Thinkpad 390x with Windows XP Pro or 2KPro or 98se same result.
If cd not in laptop and I try to access puppy,get error 15 + file not found.
any work arounds out there?
