Public Key not found

Hello,

I have been trying to install devmon on one of my cent os boxes. I have all the dependencies installed using yum. I try to install the rpm's I downloaded using yum and I get an error stating public key not installed. I understand you have to get the key and import it but I don't know how to find the key, I have googled and no luck. Could some one point me in the right direction for this?

Thank you,

Keith

Why are you trying to install a Mandriva RPM on a CentOS box? It's a pretty good way to break a system. You would be better off installing from source.

Hello,

Thank you for the reply, I do see that but this is the issue I am having. I grabbed the rpm from razor edge which stated they are all centos 5 rpm's. When I try to install the rpm I get

warning: devmon-0.3.0-3.el5.re.noarch.rpm: Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID ba7a4a9e
error: Failed dependencies:
fedora-usermgmt is needed by devmon-0.3.0-3.el5.re.noarch

I know I probably can't install fedora-usermgmt on my cent box so I down loaded the tarball for devmon 0.3.0-3.. I extracted the tarball to /usr/local/devmon. Tried to load the daemon with the init script in the tarball, when I checked to see if there were processes running for devmon there are no processes but what I greped for. I followed the instruction doc for the devmon config, the issue is I can start the daemon. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks again,

Keith

The message you quoted related to
Code:
devmon noarch 0.3.0-0.rc1.mdv2008.0 devmon-0.3.0-0.rc1.mdv2008.0.noarch.rpm
so would you like to share what you are actually getting?

You can always override the key if you choose to.

Hello,

I don't have an issue the key anymore, this is the link of the RPM I am downloading.

http://rpm.razorsedge.org/centos-5/R....re.noarch.rpm

It will not let me install it because its requesting Error: Missing Dependency: fedora-usermgmt is needed by package devmon, this is what I get. I also tried the tarball devmon-0.3.0.tar. What I am trying to do is I have a hobbit server running on another cent box, and 3 linux clients. I am trying to monitor all clients in hobbit, this one is the only one which will not show conn cpu if_col if_dsc if_err if_load if_stat info memory trends

in hobbit. The information monitored by hobbit on this client now is

conn info trends.

I know devmon is not running, in the tarball there is nothing to compile.

Thank you,

Keith
