ps2pdf error on Linux RHEL4

I have output that I send to my HP Laser Jet Printer. I want to add the ability to convert the file to a PDF so that I can e-mail it. I get an error below:

#s2pdf test.ps test.pdf
Error: /undefined in 1L1C0R浜様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様様融

GNU Ghostscript 7.07: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1

I know that ps2pdf works 'cause I did some testing and I get the desired results from:

man -t man | ps2pdf - test.pdf

The file that I create, test.ps, I can send to the printer using lp and it works just fine. I am at a loss as to why this does not work using my laserjet printer file. I would simply try to create a text version, but the file that prints out has graphics that I cannot create with just a text output. ps2pdf seemed like the ideal tool, but so far i am just frustrated.

Try ps2pdf with a different file so that you can determine if it is the file that is corrupt, or if it is a problem with your ps2pdf configuration.
