Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

I have output that I send to my HP Laser Jet Printer. I want to add the ability to convert the file to a PDF so that I can e-mail it. I get an error below:
#s2pdf test.ps test.pdf

I know that ps2pdf works 'cause I did some testing and I get the desired results from:
man -t man | ps2pdf - test.pdf
The file that I create, test.ps, I can send to the printer using lp and it works just fine. I am at a loss as to why this does not work using my laserjet printer file. I would simply try to create a text version, but the file that prints out has graphics that I cannot create with just a text output. ps2pdf seemed like the ideal tool, but so far i am just frustrated.
