ps/2 devices
I am having a problem running both my keyboard and the mouse at the same time on Red Hat Linux 7.2. Both devices are hooked up via ps/2. If the mouse is plugged in it takes priority over the keyboard. The only way to get the keyboard to work is to unplug mouse, and this gets quite irritating. I have reinstalled Linux and they are both setup correctly when I first install, but keyboard will not even show lights upon boot up if mouse is plugged in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.....Thanks

This sounds like it could possible be a conflict at the BIOS level. Go into your bios and check the I/O settings, IRQ stuff, and anything else you can find.
