Lightbulb Protect my pc from Hackers

Friends ,

I have installed a fresh Linux (Redhat Enterprise 4) BOx for my machine . And i
use a REal IP for the First time . Now I think it is very much needed to protect
my pc from the Outside Network or others .

Normally i use "IPTABLES" as firewall . So in this moment i need some "IPTABLS RULES"
which is initially very much needed for my new Linux box and also which helps me protecting my linux m/c from Hackers . Can any one plz help me ?

I don't know how familiar you are with IPTables so here is the best tutorial of them all:
IPTables Tutorial

As far as rules are concerned I use a modified set of the following rules:
HOWTO: IPTables for newbies

I hope this helps. If you have any more IPTables questions let me know
