pronunciation

Hi!

I need to learn a foreign language and I am looking for a program that helps to record voice and replay it. I know about audacity but I need something more simple, like e.g. hold pressed button for record and play on release and when pressed record again then old recorded voice deletes itself(overwrites with a new one).

Some kind of a specialized pronunciation checker for linux?

I don't think you'll find anything easier than Audacity. I'm not exactly sure what your problem is with it. It's quite simple. As for recording over a previous recording, just saving it to the same file name will do that for you. If this is not what you want you'll have to explain what you do want more clearly.

I've worked with Audacity and it's really simple to use, it is intuitive and above all fast operations is that you are given. In my opinion is a great choice.

OK, thank you, it look like linux has a little limited amount of the sound recording programs.
