programfile folder in WindowsOS=? in LinuxOS
 
Hi everybody

:newbie: I have just install a program in fedora linux 6.0 and i want to know something as
In window OS When we install something,we have a default path is program files, so in linux is what folder.
if i want remove a program how can i do it.
and in Suse (newbie at all)i can change setting something by use YAST but in fedora i cant find the YAST

There's nothing quite like 'Program Files' in linux. The binaries for many things you'd install would go to /usr/bin, the config files and other data would go to /etc and /usr/share, and docs would go to /usr/share/doc ... but you wouldn't delete these files manually, you'd use the package manager, which in fedora is yum. Isn't there an 'add/remove software' in your menu?
