Program to 'timer record' radio

I am looking for a linux program that will allow me to set-up 'timer-record' radio stations/shows.

I would be recording at different times from essentially 2 different radio stations (Australia radio stations). I think the key feature would be not having to insert a physical radio to record from. I would hope to find an application that has it's own radio or the ability to be able to link into the said radio's stream......

Radio and streaming are two completely different types of broadcasting. If you mean a radio station that streams its broadcasts across the 'net then there's plenty of apps that will record a stream and if they haven't got any time then you could use an at or cron job to start and stop a recording. If you actually meant using Linux to pick up radio (as in actual waves) stations without the required hardware then I suggest you strap on your spare wheel, start the ignition on your toaster oven and hover on out of whatever happy place it is you're in because it does not compute ;-p

cron tends to be used for scheduling tasks.

There's SDR radio dongles for $20 these days that can pick up stations and other broadcast types.

And various recording techniques for internet streams. Although many "shows" that stream archive their shows in a downloadable format.

Otherwise details are lacking to know which applies in your case.
