Proftpd Service Start ERROR!!

Sorry if this was adressed in a previous thread, I attemped to serach for it and I believe I was unsuccessful.

When I try to start the Proftpd Service, it fails reporting that it can not determine the ip for my host name.

In a previous thread a problem similar to this was addressed but it had stated simply that an ethernet controller was not properly configured.. But i doubt this is my problem, because I am also running an httpd server using Apache, and it is running fine, and can be accessed both on my LAN and across the internet.

I was thinking this possibly could be a lack of a properly configured .conf file, but i am unsure what .conf file to edit to configure proftpd.

your conf file is probably /etc/proftpd.conf
