Proftpd hostname problem

I've managed to hose Proftpd, and I think it's a hostname problem; hope you can help.

When I run proftpd -t -d5 I get the following:

Code:
IPv6 getaddrinfo 'lsosheriff.net' error: No address associated with hostname
which leads me to believe that I have one or more of the many .conf files configured incorrectly.

Can someone assist me?

Thanks

I have proftpd running on Xubuntu and from the beginning it gave me that error when starting proftpd. At the same time, it doesn't seem to affect anything and it works as supposed to.

Thanks for the super-prompt response.

Agreed, I could likely ignore that "error".

But that still leaves the remaining issue of not being able to FTP into my box. Worked fine until this morning when I started messing with various proftpd (and perhaps other) configuration files.

What can I do to track this problem down?

Thanks again.

Sorry, I don't really know what the error means or why you can't access your box. I just know that the error doesn't seem to affect the operation of my server. Maybe if you post some of your proftpd.conf someone can help.
