ProFTPD Help

I have a question about using proftpd. I have created a few ftp accounts that I do not need anymore, I was just wondering how I delete this accounts, and say I forgot the name of the account, how do I get a list of all the ftp accounts created? Having these questions answered would be a great help.

Thanks

Normally, ftp accounts are the same as system accounts.

You can get a list of system accounts with:

cat /etc/passwd

if you delete a user account from here, they wont be able to ftp or log in. Watch that you only delete accounts that you know about, there are account like bin, daemon, root that you should never delete.

You can use "useradd" to add new accounts.

Try "userdel" to delete account and related files. Try the man pages for more help, "man userdel"

Good luck
