Hi

I have set up procmail to filter my incoming emails and the recipes are working in the sense that they are splitting into the individual mailboxes or the inbox but they are all going to my HOME folder rather than HOME/Mail

I have:-

VERBOSE=on
PATH=/usr/bin::/bin:/usr/local/bin:.
MAILDIR=$HOME/Mail
DEFAULT=$MAILDIR/inbox
LOGFILE=$MAILDIR/log

There are no errors in the log file which also goes to my HOME directory and I have tried changing the permissions on the "Mail" folder to all rwx to see if that made any difference. It didn't.

This is in Fedora Core 10.

Can anyone tell me what I am missing here?

Yes. I have changed permission and now reads.

Sent a test email to myself that still ended up in HOME/inbox

Take a look in the logfile for errors
try to remove the directory, and recreate it
what is the procmail rule you are using?

Had a look in there and it said.

Wow! I removed it, recreated it and chmod 755'd it. That worked thankyou, but I don't know why?
