processing files based on date

Is it possible to process a set of based on files.

Say if for example say,
drwxrwxr-x 2 user01 user01 4096 Apr 22 15:33 application-development
drwxrwxr-x 3 user01 user01 4096 Apr 22 15:48 e-learning
user01@user01-VirtualBox:~$ pwd
/home/user01
user01@user01-VirtualBox:~$

How can we determine programmatically once we run ls -lrt command all files created or "touched" with today's.?

Any clues, logic would be highly appreciated?

many thanks

find -mtime -1 for the last 24 hours, or
find -mmin -<minutes since midnight> for a more exact match ...
