process request

Dear all,

I have installed RHEL AS4 and cent OS in defferent machines with 20 GB HDD and 2.5GB RAM and SWAP with 2GB

my question is : I am monioring my servers, and it shows me that httpd processes utilizing maximum memory then available (7-8 sessions are there connected through web)
can i divert or revert process request to my SWAP, so from physical memory load will reduce

please help...........

Thanks in Advance

Why would you want to write to slow-swap, when everything is running in 'real' memory now?? And are you just using a top to report on memory? Take a look at some articles on Google, as to how Linux reports memory usage.....
